On November 12, the sixth round out of ten of the PSGL Esports Cup took place at the historical race track of Silverstone, Great Britain.

After a catastrophic round last time out in Belgium, Team Mentalism heads into Silverstone being seventh in the championship, 151 points behind Visceral Esports in the lead, but only 25 points behind WOR Esports in P3. Yoan and Grimbows are the two drivers lined up for the team, with the objective of doing a clean team race, in order to claim P3 back in the standings.

Team Mentalism drivers undergo an awful qualifying session as they can only manage to lock out the ninth row on the grid, with Grimbows in P17 and Yoan in P18.

PSGL Esports Cup – Round 6 Qualifying

Both French drivers make a great start as they are already up to P14 and P15 after Turn 1. After overtaking IFR_Pat, Grimbows is P13 right in front of Yoan P14 on Lap 6/26 before the leaders pit. On Lap 9/26, when most of the leaders have made their first pitstop, Grimbows and Yoan sit P3 and P4 as they are on the alternate strategy. A safety car comes out on this lap after an incident involving WOR_Risse. The team analyst Ace_Phelps makes a cheeky call, telling the drivers to pit and finish the race on soft tires with 16 laps to go. They are the only ones on track that chose this strategy.

Grimbows and Yoan gain positions at the start.

At the safety car restart, Grimbows is P8 and directly overtakes TTG_Hadler for P7. With their soft tires, Team Mentalism drivers are the fastest on track as Yoan moves up through the field. On Lap 15/26, Grimbows overtakes SHZ_OGGIANO for P6 while Yoan sits P17, in a DRS train and having to manage his tires. A new safety car is deployed on Lap 22/26, and Grimbows decides to stay on track to keep P6 while Yoan pits for fresh softs. In two crazy last laps, Yoan gains 3 positions from P13 and Grimbows manages to stay in P6.
