On November 1, the third round out of six of the MundoGT Div.Oro took place in Laguna Seca. For this race, the drivers had to master the Mazda Roadster Touring Car with sport tires.

Coming into this race, Team Mentalism leads the championship after 2 first excellent rounds as the team sits first with 73 points, ahead of title rivals Euromaster Academy with 63 points. Tok0 and Samuel are the two drivers line up for this round, as they aim to fight for the win in order to extend the championship lead.

In qualifying, Samuel seals P2 with an excellent 1.33.854 lap time, and Tok0 is right behind him in P3 after putting in a lap time of 1.33.906.

MundoGT Div.Oro – Round 3 Qualifying

Tok0 makes a great start and sits P2 while Samuel loses a few positions and drops to P5 after missing his start. During the first stint, both Team Mentalism drivers save perfectly their tires and Tok0 follows the Principality driver Infineldity657 who loses the lead on Lap 11/26 to Tok0. After pitting on Lap 13/26, Team Mentalism drivers get out of the pits in P2 and P4, both behind Euromaster Academy drivers ERM_FernandoMora sitting P1 and ERM_RaulLopezG in P3. Tok0 and Samuel have fresher tires and start to attack their rivals, as Tok0 reclaims the lead on Lap 21/26, and Samuel gets past ERM_RaulLopezG for P3 on Lap 23/26.

Although Samuel was faster than ERM_FernandoMora on track, he makes a small mistake meaning he can’t overtake him for P2. Tok0 wins his second race of the season, and Samuel claims the team’s fifth podium in three races in what marks the second double podium for the team.

After the first half of the season, Team Mentalism sits first in the standings with 114 points, 18 points clear of title rivals Euromaster Academy. Team Mentalism will aim to extend the championship lead on November 22 in round 3.
